Dean – Owner/Skipper
My childhood experiences with small boats around the coast of Jersey and then later as a crewman on local fishing boats prompted me to find ways of sharing my passion with others – that’s how Ocean Discoveries was born.

I have always loved spending time at sea and am constantly amazed at the beauty of our coastline and the wildlife that inhabits this area. In 2005 Jenny and I started offering eco-friendly sightseeing and nature-watching trips. We have steadily built up a good customer base and have established ourselves as Jersey’s leading RIB trip company.

Jenny – Owner
Born into a local seafaring family (my parents owned and ran a successful boatyard / chandlery for 35 years until their retirement in 2005), my brothers and I became involved with the sea from a young age.

Since the birth of our much longed for first child, Lily in December 2006, Dean and I decided that I should take a back seat, enabling me to stay at home to look after her. Dean is the mainstay of the business at the moment although who knows, in a few years time Lily may show an interest, in which case it will be “all hands on deck!”

About Our Boat
Custom-built in 2001, Equinoxe is a very safe and manoeuvrable vessel, enabling us to explore the coastline at close quarters. Equinoxe seats 12 forward facing passengers, carries a 14 person liferaft and is licensed by the Marine and Coastguard Agency and Jersey Harbours.
